Blink Twice is a 3.5-minute psychological sci-fi short film exploring obsession, ambition, and the cost of perfection.
The film follows Apollo, a young astronomer whose relentless pursuit of discovery pushes them beyond their limits. As exhaustion sets in, their reality begins to fracture, each blink pulling fragments of space into the physical world, until they are ultimately consumed by the very universe they seek to understand.
Developed as an independent senior capstone, Blink Twice was written, directed, and produced from the ground up using virtual production and in-camera visual effects (ICVFX) on an LED volume with Texas A&M University's Virtual Production Institute. The project represents both a personal and technical achievement, blending emotional storytelling with emerging filmmaking technologies.
